CareerDuring a forty year career with Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums I had the privilege to photograph objects from the collections of all of the major museums and art galleries within the North East of England and many objects in the collections of national museums and galleries. My work routinely would appear in exhibitions, publications and web applications.
From 2002 until 2011 I managed the photography of all of the digitisation of collections projects undertaken by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums.
I have also previously been employed as a part-time lecturer in Photography at City of Sunderland College.
While at university I specialised in documentary photography.
TrainingIn 1999 I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sunderland studying Fine Art: Photography, Video & Digital Imaging, graduating with a 2:1 classification.
Prior to this I had studied at the College of Arts & Technology, Newcastle upon Tyne and was awarded the City & Guilds 744 certificate in Professional Photography in 1976.
