Throughout a 45 year career Les has photographed everyone from the Royal family opening buildings or exhibitions for Tyne & Wear Museums to kids play groups. Les was allowed access to Clarence House to photograph Her Majesty the Queen Mother's collection of Lalique glass for a publication accompanying an exhibition at Sunderland Museum & Art Gallery. Les also had the pleasure of being involved in his first love of Documentary Photography (for which he hold a 2:1 Honours degree) at this time. Shipyards on the River Wear and Coal mine closures amongst his favourite projects.
